And it is the only sport that brings countries from all around the world to the country that hosts the grandest spectacle in world which is the World Cup. Football can bring togetherness even in the hardest times. For example in 1967, there was a 48 hour ceasefire during the Nigerian civil war to watch Pele who was the best player in the world back then play an exhibition match with his team.
